- The European Finance Forum is a not-for-profit organization to foster exchange of financial know-how and networking by participation in monthly meetings (jour fixe).
It was founded on 14. August 1989 as the "Frankfurter Finanz Forum" (FFF) by members of the German Bundesbank with regular meetings and workshops in Frankfurt. Additional locations were included: Berlin (2000), München (2002), Hamburg (2003), Duesseldorf (2004). In August 2004 the Franfurter Finanz Forum was named "European Finance Forum". With the new name it expanded to Vienna (2005), Amsterdam, Luxemburg and Stuttgart (2006). - Waterford Institute of Technology
- The Telecommunications Software & Systems Group (TSSG) is a research centre within Waterford Institute of Technology. TSSG are the largest computing/software research group in Ireland. All funding is awarded on a competitive basis. The TSSG was founded in 1996. Since then, it has grown with over 35 active projects, nearly 40 completed projects, 115 active staff and students, about two-thirds are professional research staff and the remainder is a mix of academic staff and MSc and PhD students with an overall €26Million in funding between 1996-2006. Initial work was on telecoms network management, but this has expanded since then to include mobility, security, autonomics, software development tools, pervasive computing and multimedia. - SecurIST (FP6 CA): Co-ordination project (led by WIT) elaborating the roadmap for FP7 on all aspects ICT of security, including dependability and trust including International Co-operation. Through their role in the SecurIST project, WIT were co-organisers of the successful EU-US Summit Series Workshops as described already in the proposal, which has led to the establishment of the INCO-TRUST CA. WIT were involved in the September 2007 Financial Workshop in Frankfurt where the ideas for PARSIFAL were initiated and contributed to the workshop report available in Annex 1. ESFORS (FP6 CA): Coordination project related to elaborating the future challenges for software and services trust, security and dependability.
